Art Improv is an informal and spontaneous approach to defining the parameters and next point of action in a social, art-based activity. Accompanied by a certain trigger, be it a theme, a song, a material; participants respond to the trigger by applying paints to a surface. It can be thought of as an “on the spot” or “off the cuff” spontaneous creative activity. Experience art come to life through communication between a group and personal interpretation of the art-making process. And because you bring your personal tastes and choices to the project, no canvas is ever finished the same way twice. How does Art Improv™ work? 

Art Improv™ can be thought of as an “on the spot” or “off the cuff” spontaneous creative activity. Improv is the practice of reacting and creating, in the moment and in response to a stimulus. The result is the invention of new thought patterns, practices, structures or symbols, and news ways to paint. This invention cycle occurs most effectively when the facilitator has a thorough intuitive and technological understanding of the necessary skills and concerns within the Art and the Improv domain.
